Just FYI...

The holiday roster freeze is 12.19 - 12.27. That's four days away. And the rest of tonight. I'm not sure if it's at midnight or 5pm EST though. I can't remember how the winter freeze works because it's not usually a big deal like the March freeze, AKA Deadline Day.

Just a suggestion.

And ps: If Waddell picks up Avery? I quit the Thrashers. Not Kari, but I quit the team. Because clearly, he has no fucking CLUE what he is doing, and I just can't support an incompetent GM. Can't do it. Sorry.

I completetly agree with this statement.I would be very disappointed in the D.W. and the Thrashers organization as a whole, especially with the cirus that went on after that uncalled for statement.

P.S. I am an optimist, and tend to look at the glass half full. With that being said it would being the Thrashers wider media coverage.

While there's no such thing as bad press, is this really a team the whole world (ok, well the hockey world) should be scrutinizing? Wouldn't that reaaaaaaaally push the envelope on turning the organisation into ... well, a joke? Being the punchline is definitely not something this team needs right now.

The guy has talent. The Thrashers could get him for pennies on the dollar at this point. Hope he does well until the March deadline, then try to trade him then. If anything, it would bring the Thrashers some media coverage. I don't really think it would be bad coverage if Avery comes out and says he wants to change his ways, be a better teammate, etc. At this point, the Thrashers need to accumulate as many assets as possible. Avery could prove to be a good asset.

Why would he change? Guys who are tools well into their 20s? They'll always be tools. He's not going to stop being a tool just because he got some press and his team kicked him off. The only way he could POSSIBLY be good for the Thrashers is if the team bonded over their hatred of the guy.
